Strobe lights, lasers, dance hits, energetic crowds ... orchestra? This isn't your typical concert.
Synthony – a celebration of dance music from the last 30 years – started in New Zealand in 2017, and it's coming to Melbourne for the first time.
DJs, vocalists and a large-scale orchestra are all sharing the stage, playing dance anthems from Avicii, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Darude and more on a nostalgic journey through the genre. Feature Aussie musicians will also be making appearances, including Miss Connie (Sneaky Sound System), Ilan Kidron (The Potbelleez), Jenny B (Corona), Mobin Master, Andy Van (Madison Avenue) and Mark Dynamix.
Sidney Myer Music Bowl will be lit up with striking visuals and a laser show, while the grassy amphitheatre will become a massive dance floor.
Synthony is part of Live at the Bowl, a massive season of open-air performances at Sidney Myer.
