The Sweet Set dessert series returns to Grub Fitzroy for its third year, bigger and sweeter than ever with 17 chefs collaborating over eight events.
Starting July 14, two guest chefs will come together every Sunday until September 1 to create special Sweet Set eight-course tasting menus. (There’ll be four savoury dishes from the Grub kitchen, and four sweets crafted by the pastry and dessert chefs.)
The opening weekend will feature a one-off quartet collaboration between Bethany Claire Cakes, Candied Bakery, Cherry Cakes and Miss Ladybird Cakes. Subsequent weeks will feature Penny for Pound, Söt by Mörk, Tivoli Road, 2014 MasterChef finalist Emelia Jackson and MasterChef guest Alice Wright from Millstone Patisserie. Chocolate specialist Mörk will be showcasing a new range of cakes for the final weekend.
Miss Ladybird Cakes has already shared some details of what to expect at the kick-off (a pumpkin and blackberry creation), while Bethany Claire Cakes will be bringing a tropical dessert cup to the table called If Life Gives You Limes.
Each menu is paired with a Puncheon prosecco spritz and your choice of Impala + Peacock tea or Market Lane Coffee.
