Dive into the Japanese diner's new limited-time crustacean-fuelled menu. Enjoy a seafood tower (or basket), Shark Bay scallops and more while lingering over a Singapore Sling.

It's a crustacean party at chef-restaurateur Andrew McConnell’s Japanese diner Supernormal. The Melbourne hotspot is introducing its new Seafood Palace menu for a limited time only – alongside the restaurant's normal à la carte offering.

Dive into the King Neptune's seafood basket filled with Kentucky calamari, whitebait, school prawns and sand whiting with king-prawn toast and a Moreton Bay bug spring roll. Or order the seafood palace tower layered with rock oysters, Mandurah blue swimmer crab, north Queensland king prawns, marinated diamond clams, tuna tartare, Fremantle octopus and Portarlington mussels.

Also on the menu: chargrilled skewers of Spencer Gulf prawn and guindilla; Shark Bay scallops doused in kombu butter; southern rock lobster with wheat tortillas, blistered Kyoto peppers and a touch of smoked-green-chilli sauce; and steamed Goolwa pippies with XO sauce and youtiao doughnuts.

Wash it all down with a cocktail or two. You might go for the Floating World, a fresh mix of melon, mandarin and Manzanilla sherry, or the Coco Colada made with Ron Zacapa 23 and fresh coconut. The team is also serving up classic Singapore Slings complete with gin, cherry and pineapple if you fancy a drink (or two).
