Werribee Open Range Zoo is bringing back its Sunset Safari package: a safari, dinner and performance that will immerse you in the African wildlife of the zoo.
Each starts off with a complimentary drink at the pop-up Sundown Bar, so guests can relax in the early evening sun.
An expert guide then drives you around “the savannah” in the zoo’s giraffe-print bus.
Werribee Zoo is the home of many Australian and African animals – including herds of giraffes and zebras, white rhinos and more – which you’ll encounter up close.
The proceeds from the Sunset Safari tours go to the Rhino Fund Uganda, a conservation partner of the zoo that aims to protect and re-establish southern white rhino populations in the Uganda. Werribee Zoo is home to seven of the endangered rhinos.
The tours run from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday nights until March 2020.
