Summer Night Market
The Queen Vic Market recently changed its opening hours for the first time in two decades but some things – like its ever-popular Summer Night Market – remain reliably constant.
The annual summer market series runs on Wednesday nights for 15 weeks from late-November to early March, excluding Christmas and New Year’s Day.
There are more than 130 stalls at the buzzing after-hours event, which features delicious food and pop-up bars, live music, a full-size beach volleyball court and more. This year's vendors include Casa Nata, the dedicated Portuguese tart store opening soon in Thornbury; Mork Chocolate; The Cypriot Kitchen serving haloumi burgers; and El Rincon serving paella.
Swing by the Palm Springs-inspired bar – replete with pink flamingos and desert plants – for gin cocktails by Melbourne Gin Company.
From 5pm to 10pm Wednesdays.
