The Pep Alliance – an initiative by Pep Events, which brings together chefs, restaurateurs and producers – is hosting Spring Seafood Spectacular; a four-course lunch centred around sustainable seafood. The lunch will be a collaborative effort between contemporary Australian restaurant Taxi Kitchen and seafood supplier Fishtales.
Simple and sustainable seafood will be the star of the lunch, with Asian influences and European techniques from Taxi’s executive chef, Tony Twitchett. Each course will also come with a matched wine.
Food journalist, Hilary McNevin, Tony Twitchett, and Fishtales owner John Susman hope the lunch will demonstrate how easy it is to make sustainable choices. A Q&A will also be held after the meal to delve further into the ethos that shapes each business.
