A week-long showcase of sound and light art is taking over North Melbourne's Arts House, an innovative arts space inside the town hall.
Dubbed Spectral, the short season, which runs until April 18, features works by artists Robin Fox, Hanna Chetwin, Jannah Quill, Kusum Normoyle and Meagan Streader – all of whom are at the forefront of their practice in Melbourne.
Fox’s exhibition Quadra is a psychedelic installation for four lasers. Meagan Streader’s Echoes will use lights for architectural interventions. The week will culminate with the Melbourne debut of Fox’s Single Origin, a work he describes as a “concerto for laser”.
See it alongside works by the Chetwin and Normoyle on April 17, and Quill and Normoyle on April 18, from 7.30pm.
