Global music community Sofar Sounds curates four intimate gigs in four unique spaces for this month-long celebration of North and West Melbourne

Live at Errol St is a celebration of everything North and West Melbourne has to offer. From late-night shopping and happy-hour specials to unique experiences from local businesses, Live at Errol St will light up the neighbourhood every Thursday night between November 23 and December 14, 2023.

At the heart of Live at Errol St is a suite of intimate concerts curated by Sofar Sounds, the global music community responsible for connecting artists and audiences in more than 400 cities all over the world. The collective is known for its ahead-of-the-curve, secret musical line-ups in unique venues, from museums and boutiques to rooftops and private living rooms.

On Thursday November 23, head to beloved Thai-flavoured neighbourhood cafe Udom House in West Melbourne for the first Sofar Sounds gig in the Live at Errol St series. On the night, Benchwarmer will be serving up $8 pints of select craft beer until 7pm; Willows & Wine will be selling books in the friendly price range of $5 to $15 (with 50 per cent of all sales going to social enterprise Black Rainbow); while Joe Taylor and Oskar Pizza are set to serve up special drinks deals all through the night. Heaps Normal will also be serving up non-alcoholic beer all night.

On Thursday November 30 Sofar Sounds takes residence at North Melbourne mainstay Auction Rooms, while the following Thursday December 7 moves to out-there hair salon Madison’s World. On both nights, enjoy complimentary Christmas gin tasting and $10 gin & tonics at Here’s Looking at You Kid Distillery from 4pm, plus $15 frozen margaritas down the road at long-standing historic pub The Courthouse.

On Thursday December 14 you can catch a free show at North Melbourne Library. It will be an intimate crowd, so make sure you register your attendance to secure a spot.

Tickets are $30, with all ticketholders automatically entered into the draw to win a $30 voucher to spend in the area.
