So Soiree at Grattan Gardens

Across two weeks this October, Melbourne Fringe Festival will descend on Grattan Gardens in Prahran with So Soiree. The gardens will play host to a range of performances, a pop-up bar and more.

Grattan Gardens will transform into So Soiree Fringe Garden, serving as an ideal spot to begin or end your night. After you’ve had a drink, you can head to the box office to plan your entertainment. On offer is the Ukiyo Tent, which will feature a range of artists performing circus, comedy, cabaret, drag and burlesque shows. Expect to see performances from the likes of Karen from Finance, Club Briefs, Hot Department, Rouge and much more.

Head down the road to Prahran Square, where a vintage bus is ready to board. Once you’re in your seat, get ready to watch (and participate in) the Melbourne premiere of Speed: The Movie, The Play, a high-octane lo-fi comedy play that pays homage to the 1994 action thriller movie Speed . The performance will run for an hour, and you can very much expect to be called upon to get involved – so prepare accordingly. The play will run Tuesday to Sunday each week of the festival, with some nights offering several session times.
