So Soiree Fringe Garden at Grattan Gardens
For 11 nights in October, Prahran’s Greville Street gets its own festival precinct with So Soiree Fringe Garden: a wonderland of award-winning performances that promise to be quirky and hilarious, with that uniquely Fringe spirit.
From October 10 to 20, Grattan Gardens on comes to life with a line-up of eight curated Fringe shows – from Apricity’s contemporary circus and the all-female Yuck Circus to hilarious cabaret divas Dolly Diamond and Leather Lungs, plus the much-anticipated return of Granny Bingo. And it all takes place in the Ukiyo Tent, a new 200-capacity circus tent designed for all kinds of entertainment.
Also back by popular demand is Speed: The Movie, The Play, a hilarious parody of the iconic thriller Speed, the blockbuster starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, which turns 30 this year. Produced and co-written by Natalie Bochenski, Speed: The Movie, The Play is an hour-long high-octane trip down memory lane in a vintage Mercedes Benz bus.
The Box Office opens at 5pm, with drinks nightly from the same time. Happy hour runs from 5pm to 6pm with $10 Aperol spritzes and two-for-one tickets to shows that same night.
