A string of local musical acts – including Alice Skye, Bad//Dreems, Amyl and the Sniffers, Birdz, Camp Cope and more – are touring through regional pubs, community clubhouses, historical theatres and town halls across Victoria.

Inspired by the colourful Aussie pub rock scene of the late '70s, the Transport Accident Commission's youth communication program Vanessa is sending local acts on a pub gig tour across regional Victoria – from Castlemaine to Mornington, Grampians to Gippsland, and towns in between.

The touring festival starts in the Barwon South West region, with a gig at Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club and another at the art-deco-designed Koroit Theatre the next day. A week later, the series runs through San Remo's Westernport Hotel and the Rye Hotel down the Mornington and Bass Coast.

Then the bands head north-west to Castlemaine's historical Theatre Royal, followed by the Golden Vine in Bendigo. Continuing the next weekend, the tour travels to Ballarat's The Eastern and the rebuilt Pomonal Town Hall in the Grampians.

Next up, the bands are playing the Riverview Hotel and Marlo Pub in Gippsland, before travelling to High Country on the final weekend for gigs at Mansfield's Delatite Hotel and the Wandi Pub in Wandiligong.

Musical acts taking part include indie-folk singer-songwriter and Wergaia-Wemba Wemba woman Alice Skye; Adelaide-based rebel rock crew Bad//Dreems; award-winning pub-punk rock group Amyl & the Sniffers; cruisy alt-rock-poppers Floodlights; Indigenous songwriter Kee'ahn; hip-hop heavyweight Birdz and more. The gig lineup changes every fortnight, with each lineup performing four shows over two consecutive weekends.

The tour is also visiting a local secondary school in each region for songwriting workshops and Q&A panel discussions with some of the artists and musicians.
