Rug up and camp out at the famous stadium to raise funds for youth homelessness. Plus, there’ll be live music, games and prizes up for grabs.

Now in its 12th year, Sleep at the ’G is back to help raise awareness and funds for youth homelessness. Grab your sleeping bag and head to the MCG for a huge community sleepover to learn, engage and have some fun in the fundraising spirit.

For one night, Melbourne City Mission is encouraging people to get a glimpse into what 7600 young Victorians aged between 12 and 24 experience each night.

This year the evening will be hosted by TV show host and sports commentator Brihony Dawson. You’ll hear stories directly from young Victorians who have faced homelessness and gain insight into their struggles. There’ll also be opportunity to participate in fun activities including mini golf, a Leggo-building station and a photobooth. Plus, enjoy live music from DJ Shimmy Barnes, Melbourne singer and vocal looper Tanaya George, acoustic duo Phil and Robbo and more.

Currently, two in three young people experience homelessness for at least two years with couch surfing the most common form. Funds raised from the event will go towards providing supportive homes to young people facing homelessness.

Tickets cost $75 per person or $25 for children aged between 15–17 and include entry, activities and refreshments.

Register with your workplace, as a team, with your family or as a solo sleeper.
