Shobosho’s co-owner and head chef of Adam Liston has already courted a loyal local following for the Adelaide mod-Asian hot spot.
After a number of sold-out kitchen takeovers overseas, he’s bringing his Japanese- and Korean-influenced, fire-powered eats to one of Melbourne’s best new bars.
Liston will be serving a five-course tasting menu of his wildly popular cooking at Fancy Free on Collins Street on Sunday May 26.
That means yakitori (skewered chicken grilled over coals) and kushiyaki (anything else skewered and grilled over coals); Hong Kong- and Japanese-style dumplings; and plenty of raw, cured, pickled and fermented extras.
Liston’s menu will backed up with beverages by the Fancy Free team in collaboration with another iconic Adelaide venue, underground bar Maybe Mae, which is known for its ever-changing cocktail list.
There are two-hour sittings available from 5.30pm, or bar sittings available from 8pm.
