Celebrate the Mornington Peninsula hotel’s seventh birthday over a seven-course, alchemy-themed tasting menu.

It’s been seven years since luxury art hotel Jackalope landed on the Mornington Peninsula, instantly becoming one of Victoria’s most iconic destination stays.

To mark the occasion, Jackalope is hosting a one-night-only celebration at its on-site restaurant Doot Doot Doot. Executive chef Michael Wickham has developed a seven-course tasting menu echoing the seven stages of alchemy: distillation, fermentation, incineration, fixation, crystallisation and multiplication. Each dish will showcase the best of Victorian produce (a key element of any Doot Doot Doot degustation).

The full menu is yet to be revealed, but highlights will include seared Western Australian scallops with saffron beurre blanc and sea succulents, and Wagyu eye fillet served with wild mushroom ragu and chestnut.

“The alchemic process is part of the Jackalope storytelling,” founder Louis Li said in a statement. “It is a great pleasure to invite our guests to the culinary journey which reflects the narrative of alchemy [and] immerses themselves in a mythical world where luxury is defined by rarity.”

For those who miss out, Jackalope will soon announce seven more special events over 2024, including culinary collaborations with Navi, Victor Liong, Entrecote and Tipo 00.
