Serve Festival at Bar Bellamy

Sat 27th January, 2024
164 Rathdowne Street Carlton
Price: $95
The intimate Carlton bar is offering a one-night-only menu of French-inspired fare (including devilled eggs, steak au poivre and crepes) for this new two-week dining festival running during the tennis.

This January, in celebration of the tennis, Mastercard and Broadsheet present Serve Festival: a two-week celebration of the finest food, drink and hospitality Melbourne has to offer. From January 14 to 28, Serve Festival is dishing up a range of exclusive culinary events with the city’s top chefs, venues and more – exclusively for Mastercard cardholders.

On Saturday January 27, head to Rathdowne Street in Carlton for a one-night only, priceless experience at Bar Bellamy, inspired by “the waspy country clubs of the ’60s – where people would go to play tennis or golf, but more importantly socialise and down a few G&Ts.”

The neighbourhood wine bar – monikered Bellamy Country Club for the evening – is plating up an exclusive $95 retro-French set menu over two sessions, at 6pm and at 8pm.

Entrees include a prawn cocktail, devilled egg with fish roe and creamy coquilles (scallops) Saint-Jacques. For mains, enjoy a classic French-style steak au poivre served with pommes Anna, and save room for the tart au chocolate or crepes with strawberries for dessert.

The drinks menu for the night will feature Second Serve (a sherry-based cocktail), Melbourne Gin Company’s PDG and tonic, a fruity Pimms cup and more.

Tickets for this event are available exclusively for Mastercard cardholders. We’re also giving Mastercard holders a one-month free trial of Broadsheet Access, our membership program that lets you get tables at booked out restaurants, try hot new venues before anyone else, score free tickets, shop discounts on our favourite labels and more.
