Chocolate-loving Melburnians planning to hit the rocky road this May might want to schedule a stop at the South Coast's Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie and Yarra Valley Chocolaterie during the month-long Rocky Road Festival of Flavours.
Three-metre-long cabinets will hold 31 flavours of hand-made rocky road, made with couverture milk, dark and white chocolate, seasonal and exotic ingredients.
Traditionalists can pick from staples such as Cookies and Cream, Mint Madness, Rum and Raisin, Heavenly Honeycomb, and Salted Caramel Popcorn. More adventurous visitors can opt for a modern take made with ingredients including turmeric, wasabi, matcha, honeycomb and satay.
If you’re craving something else sweet, there's also a special menu of rocky-road-infused desserts on offer including ice-cream, cakes and almond croissants. A new rocky road ice-cream flavour will also be released every day of the festival.
True rocky road fanatics can also join in Rock Around the Block Classes for $18, which include with tastings of rocky road blocks, truffle, ice-creams, hot chocolates and a chance to make your own bespoke flavour.
Open daily in May, 9am–5pm.
