Rockwiz Live Celebrates Naidoc Week at Collingwood Town Hall
Rediscover Yarra is a post-lockdown initiative designed to reconnect the community with music, festivals and exhibitions. The Leaps and Bounds Music Festival is part of this initiative and is back for winter with a jam-packed offering of events and musical showcases.
Running from Friday June 24 until Sunday July 24, the festival runs in more than 40 venues across Melbourne, bringing together performers and audiences for some winter entertainment.
On Friday July 8, Leaps and Bounds presents a very special edition of much-loved music show Rockwiz – performed live from the Collingwood Town Hall.
Hosted by Julia Zemiro and Brian Nankervis, Rockwiz Live takes place in the middle of Naidoc Week festivities, and presents a unique showcase of some of the best local and First Nations artists in the country. The all-star line-up features rapper and musician Dallas Woods, rising star Kee’ahn, No Fixed Address lead singer Bart Willoughby, Deborah Cheetham AO and didgeridoo player and multi-talented musician William Barton. Alongside that line up, there will be surprise guests along the way, as well as performances from the Rockwiz Orkestra.
Tickets are $70 general admission and $50 concession, with limited door sales available on the night.
Rockwiz Live is happening as part of Rediscover Yarra: Yarra City Council’s post-lockdown initiative to reconnect the community with the music, festivals and exhibitions that set Melbourne apart from other destinations.
