July Workshops at Put Your Heart Into It
The event and workshop co-ordinators at Northcote's Put Your Heart Into It have a knack for matching snacks to their classes, and a variety of workshops to help you improve a skill or learn an entirely new one throughout July.
First, is the terrarium workshop where you can make your own tiny ecosystem. You'll learn how to choose the proper materials and put them all together. It’s recommended you bring a figurine or a keepsake to make your terrarium more personal.
At the kokedama-making workshop, kokedama meaning “moss ball” in Japanese, you'll create a pot-less pot plant – a healthy moss ball to hang at home.
Basket weaving is a week later. You'll learn different styles of weaving with rope, raffia, fabric and yarn.
And then for weaving of a different kind there’s also the macramé plant-hanger workshop. You can learn a variety of decorative and practical knots to support your plants and learn how to find the right cord and rope.
All workshops offer seasonal tables of snacks, a cup of tea or a glass of wine.
