Public Art Takes Over Prahran Square This Spring
Mon Nov 10, 2025 – Sun Nov 23, 2025
Prahran Square
Cato Street, Prahran VIC
Prahran Square is set to shimmer, sparkle and fill with bubbles this November as the City of Stonnington unveils two free public art experiences that bring light, colour and play to the heart of the neighbourhood.
From November 10 to 23, step into internationally acclaimed design studio Atelier Sisu’s Ephemeral Collection – a large-scale installation made from iridescent film that dances with the changing light. By day, it casts a rainbow of colour across the square; by night, it glows under soft illumination until 11pm. It’s an invitation to wander, connect and reflect on the beauty of impermanence.
Then, from November 12 to 16, at 6pm and 8pm each day, the energy rises with The Bubble Emporium – a five-day performance spectacular set to transform Prahran Square into a dreamscape of light and sound, with 20,000 bubbles per minute. Each 50-minute show blends art and theatre in distinct ways: The Golden Oldies brings daytime nostalgia and charm, while The Boys in Blue turns up the after-dark glamour with a playful, pop-infused twist.
These free activations invite locals and visitors alike to experience Prahran Square and the Chapel Street precinct as a living, breathing canvas – one that celebrates curiosity, connection, community and the simple joy of exploration.
