Now in its third year, the Prosecco Festival will once again take over Northcote Town Hall for a day dedicated to the sparkling stuff. You’ll be able to taste more than 40 Australian and Italian proseccos, and meet growers, winemakers and importers from around the country.
There’ll be homegrown bubbles from Dal Zotto, Brown Brothers, Pizzini Wines, Box Grove Vineyard, Vinea Marson, Symphonia, Mitchelton, Cloak & Dagger, Sam Miranda Wines, See Saw Wines Tar and Roses and Trentham Estate. The Italian producers on tasting include Tenuta 2 Castelli, Col Del Lupo, Silvano Follador, Bottega and Borgo Molino. Mobile prosecco and spritz bar Van Di Vino will be pulled up at the festival.
Can’t get enough of the fizzy stuff? There’ll be prosecco-flavoured cannoli from Eat Cannoli (one of Melbourne’s best producers), prosecco gelati (and more traditional flavours) from Zero Gradi, and salami made with prosecco from The Meat Room.
Your ticket includes tastings of all proseccos, a take-home Plumm tasting glass and tote bag. A VIP ticket will also get you a 45-minute masterclass with festival founder Melissa Brauer, plus access to a balcony with premium proseccos and a grazing table.
Session one is from 11am to 3pm; session two is from 4.30pm to 8.30pm. This event is strictly 18-plus.
