A Private, After-Hours Viewing of NGV Triennial
Remember the NGV’s 2017/2018 Triennial? Nearly every Melburnian visited the extraordinary multi-level exhibition – often more than once – and interstate visitors flew in just to see it.
NGV Triennial returns this summer, with a more impressive curation of works than ever. Expect more than 75 powerful projects from 100 artists, designers and collectives at the forefront of global contemporary practice, exhibited over all four levels of the Gallery. Themes traverse robotics, tapestry, weather patterns, mysticism, megacities and everything in between, asking us to reflect on the world as it is and how we would like it to be.
See 25 world-premiere projects commissioned just for the exhibition, including a special collaboration with Paris haute couture house Schiaparelli, a large-scale text work by Yoko Ono and Polish-born Agnieszka Pilat’s trained robot dogs (who’ll paint in the Gallery for four months).
Broadsheet Access is celebrating the exhibition with an exclusive, members-only viewing during opening week. Start in the Gallery’s iconic foyer, where you’ll be greeted with bubbles. You’ll hear first-hand insights in a Q&A hosted by Broadsheet’s national editor Michael Harry with NGV Senior Curator, Contemporary Art, Design and Architecture, Ewan McEioin, before exploring the first floor of Triennial in an after-hours, private viewing.
Our NGV events always sell out fast, so don’t wait. Secure your spot via the link below.
