Precinct Night at Collingwood Yards for Melbourne Art Fair
Melbourne Art Fair is back from February 17–20 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, presenting new and iconic work from artists represented by 63 leading galleries. Precinct Night at Melbourne Art Fair is your chance to experience the Fair by night, at the satellite location of Fitzroy and Collingwood for one night only.
From 7pm, artists Jason Phu and Nadia Hernández present Nadia and Jason Make Snacks with Music and Dancing. In collaboration with Station and Hope St Radio, it’s a celebration of food, music, art and community. Visitors are invited to grab a snack from the courtyard and enjoy the music while viewing the artists’ banner installation onsite at Hope St Radio. (If you’re keen to head along, make sure to register your attendance.)
Journey through the heart of Collingwood Yards and discover a precinct brought to life with studio tours, discussion panels, music, projections and performances from artists, galleries and creatives whose practices define the cultural centre. Highlights include Emily Floyd (Anna Schwartz Gallery) open studio; Centre for Projection Art’s vibrant courtyard projections; Bus Projects and Agency Projects co-presenting an exhibition from Wanangaranytja Malangka, After Lightning; Bookshop by Uro launching Jan van Schaik’s Lost Tablets; Arts Project Australia and West Space presenting the group exhibition Sincerely Yours across both gallery spaces, and many more. Experience art and art-making in a way that feel immediate, personal, and vital in one of Melbourne’s thriving cultural hubs.
