Potters in Protest at Piccolina

Sat 1st February, 2020
296 Smith Street Collingwood 3066
Price: $30
Trade in your ice-cream cup or cone for a beautiful ceramic bowl (that you can keep). All proceeds will support climate change action.

Melbourne-based ceramicist Britt Neech (of Clae Studio) has teamed up with Collingwood’s Piccolina Gelateria for a one-off ceramics-and-gelati event in response to the worsening climate emergency.

Neech put a call-out to her creative network, which resulted in more than 300 ceramic bowls being donated from makers all over the country (and some from Australian potters living abroad).

Here’s how it will work: you’ll choose your favourite bowl, and for $30 it will be filled with Piccolina gelati. Then you’ll be able to take it home.

One hundred per cent of proceeds will be donated to the Australian Conservation Foundation who are, among other incredible initiatives, putting pressure on the Australian Government to make urgent decisions to transition to clean energy.

From 12pm to 3pm (or until sold out).
