Potterfest – A Harry Potter Marathon
It's no Triwizard Tournament but surviving a Harry Potter marathon is still a sizeable feat – it involves sitting through 19 hours and 39 minutes of the The Boy Who Lived’s trauma-riddled youth.
Add a closing screening of prequel film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and you get 21 hours and 53 minutes of tears, spells and battling dark wizards.
Those brave enough to take on the challenge (probably Gryffindors) can do so at St Kilda’s Astor Theatre. The marathon will feature giveaways (hopefully Chocolate Frogs) and costumes are highly encouraged, so accio your Yule-worthy tuxedo.
Grab your tickets before they disappear as fast as Harry in his invisibility cloak.
There are two screenings of the marathon, the first is on October 20 and the second is on November 3.
