Dine Out: Potato Everything at Eat Pierogi Make Love

From bacon and- potato soups to crispy potato pancakes, the spud is central to Polish cooking. At Melbourne’s Eat Pierogi Make Love, it’s folded with twaróg cheese into boiled pierogies. There’s a vegan variation with jalapenos and vegan mozzarella too.

For two days only, Eat Pierogi Make Love is serving an extensive all-potato menu. Spins on the golden carb include a cheesy potato bake, layered with bacon and Polish sausage; sauerkraut fries dipped in onion sour cream; and a sweet plum dessert dumpling made with potato. For drinks, there are shots of potato-based vodka and a cocktail featuring fried potato syrup.
