Port Fairy Winter Weekends Festival
Port Fairy’s Winter Weekends Festival is back for its 12th year with a line-up including long lunches, dress-up parties and, of course, the much-loved annual Dachshund Dash.
The festivities will occur over four weekends in June and July, with foodies, dog lovers, book worms and many more all catered for.
Food highlights include award-winning chef Matt Dempsey’s Shiver by the River (Sunday July 8, 1pm–4pm), where guests can enjoy fireside canapés and cocktails before a four-course long lunch with matched drinks inspired by famous waterways like the Rhone, the Rhine and the Nile.
The Art Deco Reardon Theatre will host a Pulp Fiction party on Saturday June 9 from 6pm, with prizes for the best dressed, and the best dancers in the Jack Rabbit Slim’s Twist Contest.
On Saturday July from 7pm, eight-piece ensemble band Aika will be performing inside the stained-glass walls of St John’s Church of England, with other special guests including also Merpire performing in the Church Hall.
And the Wishart Gallery will house an Antiques Roadshow-style market from 1pm–4pm on Saturday June 9 – the perfect opportunity to get that dusty porcelain valued … or grab a slice of pizza.
