Pitch Music & Arts Festival 2024
Victoria’s dance music cornucopia Pitch Music & Arts is back, once again hosting a line-up of electronic luminaries in Moyston, at the base of the Grampians Ranges. After quickly selling out last time, for 2024 the festival has introduced a ballot system. Enter here before 12pm AEDT on November 8, 2023.
The line-up is always ambitious. With three stages and 70 acts planned, this one is no different. Check it: Berghain veteran Marcel Dettmann with his lung-shaking techno, Running Back label founder Gerd Janson, VTSS and her catchy vocal hooks, the eclectic DJ Boring, Bulgarian peak-time master Kink, hypnotic rhythmists Chaos in the CBD and Italian acid techno duo 999999999. Other internationals in the mix include Special Request, Daniel Avery, I Hate Models, Job Jobse, Mama Snake, Nene H and Patrick Mason. On the local front, catch Jennifer Loveless, CC:Disco, X Club, Glass Beams, Jnett, Moopie and Sophie McCalister.
As always, you can expect interactive art installations from the likes of Clayton Blake (winner of best art at Burning Man 2018), Gumbaynggirr woman Aretha Brown and Adnate (the artist behind the southern hemisphere’s tallest mural, outside the Collingwood Housing Estate) on this year’s program. And over at Pitch Pavilion, you can escape the hectic party vibes with yoga classes, sound baths and ambient meditation.
This year Pitch Music & Arts is debuting a partnership with Indigenous youth climate network Seed. $1 of every Pitch Music & Arts ticket will be donated to Seed. The festival also donates $30,000 a year into the local communities in and around Moyston.
