Swing by Pidapipo Gelateria’s Degraves Street store this Sunday for Italian-style ice-cream sundaes, and its first-ever Sundae Session.
Pidapipo is launching a new sundae menu, Coppa Gelato, and to celebrate London-Melbourne producer Laila Sakini will be in store on the decks, while popular local illustrator Alice Oehr draws the menu live.
Head gelato-chef Lisa Valmorbida (whose inspiration comes from her grandparents’ hometown Vicenza in the north of Italy) has created a short – but sweet – list featuring four flavour options: Banana Split, Ultra Fragola, Classico and Caramel Malt.
They’re made up of fior-di-latte, chocolate or salted-caramel gelato, and topped with chopped fruit and crushed nuts, a dollop of homemade whipped cream, and a cherry on top, naturally. Each is $11.
For the time being the sundaes are a CBD-store exclusive (that will be available daily), but they'll be headed to Carlton and Windsor before the summer is out.
From 2pm to 6pm.
