Pearls and Caviar at Vesper Bistro and Bar
Marlane and Duncan Fraser-Smith spent the past 10 years in Dubai, but their new Melbourne restaurant has a decidedly Mediterranean edge. Vesper takes its cues from islands around the Aegean Sea, with a strong focus on seafood and drinks.
Both are on show at Pearls and Caviar, a special offering throughout May.
Get three drinks (choose from prosecco, sparkling wine, a house Martini, Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz or a shot of Beluga vodka if you want to go hard) and three canapes topped with Yarra Valley caviar.
There's mozzarella with salmon roe and colatura di alici, an Italian anchovy sauce; savoury churros with brandade de bacalao (whipped salted cod roe) and flying fish roe; and house-cured swordfish with Four Pillars Shiraz gin trout roe.
The offer is available Tuesday to Saturday evenings for $45.
