Ottolenghi Cooked by Tulum for Father’s Day
In addition to being a world-renowned chef, restaurateur and cookbook author, Yotam Ottolenghi is a father. So when friend and Tulum chef-owner Coskun Uysal asked if he could cook a Father’s Day menu full of popular Ottolenghi recipes at his restaurant, the celebrity chef said yes.
The multi-course meal features mezes to start: Turkish flatbread; tahini, honey and sesame butter; roasted eggplant with tahini yoghurt; kuku sabzi (Persian herb frittata) with feta and preserved lemon; and smoked labneh, olives and pistachio.
Mains include roasted Persian lamb shoulder; lamb and cinnamon sauce; fattouche salad with pomegranate; and braised green lentils with feta and cumin. For dessert there’s a cardamom rice pudding with hazelnuts.
The menu is $65 per person and available from Friday September 3 to Sunday August 5.
Pick-up is from Tulum, or you can get delivery within 10 kilometres of the restaurant for a $15 fee. Order by calling 0424 131 881.
