Otoya at Crown Melbourne
Food and Drink
Thu Jan 22, 2026 – Sun Apr 26, 2026
Crown Melbourne
You don’t have to go far to find a bar with a decent sound system and an impressive vinyl collection in Melbourne these days. But Otoya – a Crown Melbourne pop-up bar on Yarra Promenade – takes it a step further with DJ programming curated by Melbourne-based artist management and events agency Wat Artists.
Every Thursday through Sunday, drop in for wide-ranging sets including a city pop night by David Smiley, a post-punk exploration with NTS resident Bridget Small, and a soul and disco set by Kuzco. In March, there’ll be a set from Japanese DJ Kenji Takimi, with more DJs to be announced before the pop-up concludes at the end of April.
There’s a small menu of hibachi-grilled skewers, gyoza with a chilli ponzu sauce, and matcha ice-cream. It’s served alongside Asahi schooners and cocktails such as the Saké Colada – a riff on the classic Pina Colada – and a Yuzu Crush made with yuzu umeshu.
