Order Up at the Immigration Museum
Thu Oct 16, 2025 – Sun Apr 05, 2026
Immigration Museum
400 Flinders Street, Melbourne
Melbourne’s hospitality industry and immigrant community are impossible to disentangle. Order Up – A City Fed by Many Cultures, a new immersive exhibition at the Immigration Museum, explores this connection.
Melbourne-based artists Redmond Stevenson and third-generation restaurateur Daniel Saade of Niche on Bridge are behind the immersive and interactive exhibition.
Surrounded by hundreds of dockets from Melbourne restaurants, visitors can watch and listen to a video and sound collage recorded by Stevenson at 33 venues, including Supper Inn, France-Soir, Chae and Makan. There’ll also be an interactive pass, where visitors are welcome to write recommendations of their favourite Melbourne dishes.
Plus, on Sunday October 19, there’ll be a panel discussion from 3.30 to 4.30pm with Saade and Stevenson, joined by chef Helly Raichura of Enter Via Laundry and Hamed Allahyari of Kababi, who will share stories from their kitchens.
