Oinofilia Greek Festival

Sun 24th June, 2018
North Melbourne Meat Market
3 Blackwood St, Melbourne
Price: $55
Oinos is the Greek word for wine, and there'll be plenty of it here.

Following a successful Melbourne run in 2017, Oinofilia: A Celebration of the Food and New Wines of Greece is back. Meaning "a love of wine", Oinofilia is a fitting name for a celebration of top Greek drops.

The one-day festival is brought to you by REVEL – the same team behind the Pinot Palooza wine bash and Mould cheese festival. It will feature around 80 different wines by 19 producers from across Greece – the oldest wine-producing region in Europe – with bottles from the Aegean and Ionian Islands, to Macedonia and Crete. There'll be varietals such as xinomavro, agiorgitiko, moschofilero and assyrtiko.

Some of Melbourne's best Greek restaurants will be doling out the snacks, including Epocha and Elyros.

Tickets cost $55 (and include a Plumm wine glass). The festival will run from 12pm to 5pm.
