MFF: Nocturnal x The Fashion Edition
Nocturnal, Melbourne Museum’s late-night musical get-together, wants you to put on your most stylish dancing shoes and get ready to move.
In collaboration with Melbourne Fashion Festival, Nocturnal x The Fashion Edition will feature music curated by artist management, events and booking agency WAT Artists, and a special display of First Peoples fashion design.
It starts with experimental pop from Sui Zhen, followed by the psych-fusion beats and hypnotic riffs of Glass Beams. Nine-strong ensemble Ausecuma Beats will get everyone on the dance floor, then Dan Whitford of Cut Copy takes it away with a DJ set to close out the night.
Away from the dance floor, Future/History is a special exhibition of fashion design by First Peoples artists, featuring 16 garments made on Country (and with materials from Country) by Lillardia Briggs-Houston, Delvene Cockatoo-Collins and Cassie Leatham.
From 7pm to 11pm.
