Nocturnal x Fashion
Nocturnal, Melbourne Museum’s late-night musical get-together, wants you to put on your dancing shoes and get ready to move.
In collaboration with Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, Nocturnal x Fashion will be headlined by electric pop powerhouse, occasional designer and local style icon, Banoffee, performing her freshly-released full-length debut album Look At Us Now Dad.
Banoffee will be joined on the night by the ARIA Award-winning Mojo Juju with a DJ set; multidisciplinary darling Rainbow Chan; club icons Purple Sneakers; electronic act Feels hailing from Perth; R&B artist Pania; Melbourne synth goth duo SaD; and Hey Drums, a collective of female and gender-minority drummers and percussionists.
Melbourne’s leading contemporary dance company Chunky Move has also teamed up with beloved Australian label Romance Was Born for a special performance on the night. Dancers will be dressed in a collection inspired by artist Samuel Hodge's work for the SS20 Romance Was Born collection.
Keep on the lookout for a VR fashion film and a showing of the 2019 Fashion Film Awards selections. If you’re so inclined, you can also wander around the museum after hours.
From 7pm to 11pm.
