Nocturnal at Melbourne Museum
The last time you visited Melbourne Museum may have been to chaperone the kids on an excursion to visit Horridus the Triceratops or immersive exhibition Tyama, but something new is coming – and this time it’s for the big kids.
Kicking off an adult-only after-dark special for one night, Melbourne Museum is bringing back its live music series Nocturnal with sets and performances from local talent, interactive talks and demonstrations from museum curators.
Join in the first round of fun with hip-hop and R’n’B queen Tkay Maidza, fresh from opening Dua Lipa’s Australian and New Zealand tour. She’ll be joined by party-starters from radio station CADA, including Carolina Gasolina and Peng, aka local club DJs Dijok and Soju Gang.
The night will also include a massive dance floor, a Four Pillars pop-up bar, bites to eat, hands-on activities, and guided tours of Melbourne Museum’s exhibitions after hours. The Museum is also being lit up by projections from the Society and Technology collection.
Tickets cost $39 for adults or $35 for concession card holders and Museums Victoria members. You can also add on entry to Tyama for an extra $23.
More Nocturnal events will be announced soon.
