New Year’s Eve (and Recovery Brunch After) at Half Acre
Let's face it – 2020 was horrible. The folks at pretty South Melbourne spot Half Acre are saying goodbye to this year (and crossing their fingers for the next) with five hours of booze and bites on New Year's Eve.
Options for the six-course degustation menu includes torched scallops with sumac salt; oysters with finger lime; butterflied scampi with caviar; grilled lobster with black garlic butter; confit duck leg; and charred pear with wattleseed and tahini caramel. There's also going to be live music and a champagne tower at midnight.
Tickets are $225 per person for six courses with matched wines, with the session running from 7:30pm to 12:30am. Or you can get the degustation and champagne on arrival for $125 (with other drinks available on consumption).
Half Acre is also throwing a recovery bottomless brunch with Patient Wolf spritzes, more live music and its signature brunch menu. It costs $69 per person and runs for two-hour seatings:
January 2: 11am–1pm
January 3: 10:30am–12:30pm, 1pm–3pm, 3:30pm–5:30pm
