Past rows and rows of apple trees you'll find Napoleone Cider Orchard Bar, from the same people behind Punt Road Wine. The Napoleone family is serious about its cider, all made with fruit from the orchard. And there's no better day to celebrate than Australian Cider Day.
The nationwide event is dedicated to promoting 100 per cent Australian-grown and -made cider, and the Orchard Bar is celebrating with an all-day garden party.
The brewery team has crafted a minimal intervention, premium pear cider just for the occasion called Ap-pear-lachian. There'll be fresh Johnny Ripe apple pies straight from Mornington Peninsula, as well as the Ghost Kitchen food truck serving up Taiwanese street food and pork belly bao from noon til late.
Expect live music, too, with a French gypsy jazz band in the early afternoon and exotica, bossa nova and calypso in the evening.
Entry is free, and attendees have a chance to win an exclusive party at the Orchard Bar with nine mates.
