South Melbourne’s much-loved Lamaro’s Hotel wants you to forgo your Monday night in. The lure? All-you-can-eat mussels.

Shell out $30 and you’ll be able to slurp as many Tasmanian Spring Bay mussels as your body can handle, served three ways: with Singapore chilli, Thai coconut curry or the French mariniere sauce (traditionally made with white wine, cream, garlic, shallots and thyme). The deal also comes with a pot of house beer or a glass of wine.

The pub, owned by ex-Western Bulldogs star Paul Dimattina and chef Geoff Lindsay (Dandelion), also runs a weekday aperitivo hour. From 5pm to 7pm, Brewmanity and Coldstream Brewery beers are $5, and Aperol Spritzes, Negronis and French sparkling rosé are $10.
