Muji Food Market Pop-Up at Chadstone
Japanese retailer Muji – best known for its elevated yet minimal homeware, clothing and stationery – is holding the second Muji Food Market at Chadstone, following a wildly successful first pop-up in May.
The market celebrates the arrival of new Muji Food Japanese teas and condiments, including yuzu salt and furikake, as well as the introduction of the Found Market, a collection of food products made by local brands such as Daylesford’s Kao Kao Miso.
The market at Chadstone will have stalls from five local food specialists. Joanne Yeoh and Bernard Chu’s Japanese ice-cream shop Kori, will have an exclusive range of purin (Japanese custard pudding). There’ll also be Japanese-inspired ice-creams from Carlton and CBD favourite Hareruya Pantry; crisp chilli-oils from Sandra Seah and Jordana Adams’s Six-Eyed Scorpion; and shokupan, Bench Coffee dacquoise and house-made kaya from Brunswick bakery Little Cardigan. The Naked Asian Grocer will also be selling sustainably packaged customised ramen kits.
Entry to the market is free, but RSVPs are required.
