Chocolates and Valentine’s Day, chocolates and hazelnuts, chocolate and tarts – all winning combinations. And thanks to two stellar dessert businesses, you can have them all at once.
Tarts Anon, by former Dinner by Heston head pastry chef Gareth Whitton, and Alice Bennett’s playful cake business Miss Trixie Drinks Tea have teamed up to create a rich, decadent chocolate-hazelnut tart for the day of hearts.
That means Miss Trixie’s bold-lettered puns – this time the cheeky “Tart Throb” – on a Tarts Anon creation made from an exclusive flavour that’s not on the regular menu. The pair made it last year and sold out in 30 seconds, so be sure to set your alarms this time around.
The tarts are available for pre-order on Monday February 7 from 6pm. Only whole tarts are available – no by-the-slice option – and they cost $85 each.
Pick-up will be on Monday February 14 between 1pm and 2pm at Tarts Anon, 29A Gwynne Street, Cremorne.
