Mirka After Hours
To celebrate International Museum Day, the Jewish Museum of Australia is opening its doors for two special evening viewings of popular exhibition Mirka.
The exhibition spotlights never-before-shown works from iconic Melbourne artist Mirka Mora, as well as historical mementos and drawings, immersing you in her world of art, food and famous friends.
Mirka’s regular Sunday sessions book out fast, so it’s a good opportunity to visit the exhibition outside its usual hours. See more than 200 exclusive works from the late artist’s 70-year-long career. There’s a range of personal pieces, including letters, sketchbooks and diaries, plus a soundscape using Mora’s own voice to guide you through the space.
The first session is sold out, but there are still limited spots available for the second, from 8pm to 9.15pm. Tickets are $20, with discounts for members, children and concession-card holders.
