The Mindful Walk
Reconnect with yourself and the world around you during The Mindful Walk, a guided silent stroll around Kings Domain Gardens. Unlike other weekend charity walks, there’s no finish line or competition – the purpose is to let go for 30 minutes.
It’s organised by Emma Maidment (who is behind the popular Mindful Mornings events, which promote community through yoga, meditation, food and music) and Albert Park meditation studio Madam Heap, and will raise funds for the Love Me Love You Foundation.
The youth-focused foundation aims to reduce stigma around suicide and mental health, and supports those managing mental-health issues.
If you’re new to mindfulness fear not – the walk begins with a meet and greet where you’ll receive tips for clearing your mind and staying present. There’ll also be little reminders around the gardens to stop you drifting off.
Everyone is welcome and there’ll be a chill out zone set up for after the walk.
