Ponder the history of culinary technology over a multi-course meal with Jesse Gerner.

Chef Jesse Gerner (Anada, Bomba and Park Street) will be serving a degustation influenced by past and futuristic technology as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week.

It’s easy to overlook the technological processes behind food. Even when the instant luxury of Mi Goreng exists. But MKW18 is a week-long opportunity to put the noodles down and get your geek out via workshops, performances and interactive events.

Gerner’s gastronomic presentation will involve genetically modified produce, aquaponics samples and food cooked with coal and fire. No Mi Goreng unfortunately.
