Night Song at Melbourne Fringe
Night Song, a live performance by Melbourne pianist and composer Rose Alea, encourages introspection, rest and a new way of listening.
As you lie down on a provided bed, in near darkness, stars will be projected above. Alea will play some of her original work – described as melancholy, intimate and cinematic – alongside works by neo-classical composers such as Max Richter and Nils Frahm.
Whether you gaze out to the stars or fall asleep, the hour-long event will transform the Meat Market into a meditative and tranquil venue – with the help of a grand piano.
