Meeniyan Garlic Festival 2018
The Meeniyan Garlic Festival is returning for its annual celebration of all things garlic. More than 100 stalls will offer gourmet goods and garlic-inspired dishes, working with over three tonnes of freshly harvested Victorian garlic. Stroll through farmers’ markets, browse local produce and try daring creations such as smoked garlic beer and garlic ice-cream.
Learn about garlic cultivar groups, varieties and preparation techniques from Alejandro Saravia, Executive Chef of Pastuso and formerly of Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck, and Executive Chef of Coda and Tonka, Adam D'Sylva. There will be live music and cooking demonstrations all day at the 1000 seat festival stage and kitchen, including a talk from the resident "garlic guru" Penny Woodward.
