The Melbourne Showgrounds will turn into a carnivore’s dream later this month with the arrival of Meatstock Melbourne, a festival dedicated to the mighty barbeque. Think butchering and barbeque competitions, more meat-themed food trucks than you could poke a rib at and a cutthroat barber competition just to shake things up a bit.
If a copious amount of meat isn’t your thing, Meatstock also doubles as a music festival, with a line-up including The Delta Riggs, Skyscraper Stan, Davidson Brothers, Dusty Boots and Royal Chant.
Special guests for the day will include award-winning barbeque cook Jess Pryles as well as Tuffy Stone, who has won world barbeque champion four times.
“Melbourne is Australia’s foodie capital, so I am looking forward to sharing our barbeque techniques together,” says Stone.
