Head down to Pidapipo’s flagship gelateria in Fitzroy to try an exclusive doughnut collaboration with Masses Bagels.

Pidapipo is teaming up with Hot-Listed Masses Bagels to create a sourdough doughnut available for one week only during Broadsheet’s Dine Out Festival. The doughnut will be available at all Pidapipo stores and at Masses Bagels's Collingwood shop.

The $15 sourdough doughnut is not only designed to look like a bagel, it’s also fermented like one, using the same slow, natural fermentation process that’s made Masses one of the most talked-about bakeries in Melbourne. The Collingwood bakery, founded by Jack Muir Rigdy and Carmen Newton has gained a cult following for its chewy, tangy sourdough bagels, which are baked fresh in small batches and known for their perfectly blistered crusts and generous, thoughtful fillings.

The limited-edition doughnut is dipped in rich caramel, topped with a crackly creme-brulee shell, and dusted with sesame and poppy seeds, a cheeky nod to the bakery’s classic everything bagel. It’s served with a one-off Pidapipo gelato flavour created exclusively for the collab, making this one-week-only release a true meeting of sweet, savoury and cult status.
