Sydney's Mary’s Pizzeria (in The Lansdowne Hotel) and the natural-wine mavericks at P&V Wine & Liquor Merchants are headed to Melbourne to take over the rollicking Leonardo’s Pizza Palace on Saturday August 24. Name a more iconic trio.
Get your hands on one of Mary’s Pizzeria’s square Detroit-style pies, including the classic pepperoni and “Mushroom Fucker” (or quattro funghi, as the Italians would say), plus party snacks and sides.
P&V’s Lou Dowling is curating the wine line-up. Expect some quirky stuff, a few rare bottles and magnums – it’s a party, after all. And in true Lansdowne fashion, the soundtrack will be heavy on the rock’n’roll (and volume).
This takeover is happening as part of White Night Reimagined, which is on – in part – at the nearby Carlton Gardens. Beeline for Leonardo’s after the festivities – it’s been granted an extended trading licence so it will be open until 2am.
Entry is free. Walk-ins only.
From 10pm to 2am.
