Skip the meat and celebrate the veg with this steamy Vietnamese hotpot.

Things are about to get hot at Annam.

Chef and owner Jerry Mai (also Bia Hoi and Phò Nom) has teamed up with chef Shannon Martinez (Smith & Daughters, Smith & Deli) for a Vietnamese hotpot party that’s completely vegan.

Martinez is whipping up a spicy Mala broth common in Chinese hotpots, while Mai's soup will have a mild base of pickled mustards with Vietnamese sate, a garlic-rich sauce that uses a range of chillies.

Bond with your mates over your boiling-hot soup while sipping local craft beers and bopping along to a playlist of the latest K-pop tracks.

Each hotpot is good for up to four people and costs $40 for the broths, with the option to stick to one or go half-and-half. Extras such as mock meats, rice cakes, vegetables, rice and noodles cost extra.

Bookings are essential.

From 5pm to 11pm.
