Mad Max: Fury Road at White Night Reimagined
The post-apocalyptic world of Mad Max: Fury Road will be brought to life with film footage projection-mapped onto the Royal Exhibition Building, live performance, special effects and music as part of White Night Reimagined.
The 15-minute presentation, which will tear through Carlton Gardens, will also feature iconic vehicles from the film – the Doof Wagon, the Gigahorse and Mad Max’s iconic Razor Cola Interceptor – which will be placed across the Melbourne Museum forecourt.
Upon release in 2015, the film – starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron – was praised for its strong female leads, stunning production design, relentless action and its ability to hold an audience with a virtually dialogue-free screenplay. It’s frequently cited as one of the best films of the decade on critics’ lists.
